How to - Ubuntu unable to read exfat file system
Today i was faced with a very unusual error message when i loaded up my usb key, the usb key was formatted in exfat. Unfortunately the key was not recognised in my Ubuntu system.
See below the solution, to be able to read exfat system in Ubuntu or just about any Linux distro.
Command Line
In your Ubuntu system open up terminal
sudo apt-get install exfat-utils exfat-fuse
Once executed the command, plug in your usb key and now your Ubuntu should be able to read the contents.
